The Pinfabb Ship Stabilizer control consist of an automatic digital equipment and state of the art software for reducing roll of ships especially designed for military frigates:

It can control 4 independent Fins, two pairs of fins in the Prow of the ship and two at Stern. The fins are usually selected to operate in pairs at the front or pair at the back or all four in operation.

Pinfabb allows also any other combination of fin selection by simply selecting the require fin/s on the monitor Display. Each fin has independent electro, mechanical and hydraulic servo systems, Pinfabb control all those individually by simply pressing the Start/Stop button The philosophy of the Pinfabb Control Fins is simple and intuitive and its operation cannot be confused because each fin control is individual.

For every fin we have the Fin's dial with two lamps: one for the Pump and the other for the blocking Piston, and also a button to activate the sequence to activate the Fin.

Clicking on the Fin activation button, Pinfabb will firstly start the Pump of that fin, when the pump is operational Pinfabb send the signal to unblock the blocking Piston, when the Piston is unblocked the button Stab ON is activated and stabilization will begin when pressing on it. With this simple approach ALL the possible fin combinations can be had for stabilisation.

To deactivate one fin the procedure is reversed. The colors used are the same as the street lights: Red = stop, inactive, Green = go, in operation, active. For safety reasons at switch off each fin’s machinery is deactivated, and must be reactivated (as required) at switch on. Besides indications of main parameters of the system, such as fin angle, oil pressure, oil temperature, oil height, etc., there are fault indications and protection function in the system

Motion Sensors: For stabilization Pinfabb relies on advanced digital solid state inertial system MEMS sensors.

Technically these sensors have three angular rate gyros with three accelerometers, three orthogonal magnetometers, can also provide temperature compensated calibrated data from all nine orthogonal sensors at update rates of 350 Hz. and embedded microcontroller to output its motion in dynamic and static environments.
